In order to support reading and to do community service, Mooreland Hill students will be involved in a Get Caught Reading initiative for the next several weeks. As you know, we commemorated September 11, by watching the documentary The Red Bandana. Because of the death of their son Welles, his parents have set up the Welles Remy Crowther Charitable Trust. After studying Welles’ life, students have written letters and poems to his parents offering their thoughts on lessons learned from Welles.
We shall be using the funds collected from the Read-A-Thon to send along to their Welles Remy Crowther Charitable Trust fund when we send on our letters. We would appreciate if Pledge money could be turned in by Tuesday, October 9th. Please make checks payable to: Welles Remy Crowther Trust.
As always, we are deeply grateful for your support!
