Mooreland Hill School combines purposeful, joyful, and expansive learning with 21st century skills in a small class setting. Our students develop the character and confidence to advance as community minded learners and leaders.

K-5 Multi-Age Group (MAG)

Our K/1, 2/3, and 4/5 Multi-Age Group (MAG) curricula prepare students emotionally, socially, and intellectually. Intimate class sizes enable them to receive ample attention, encouragement, and enrichment. It is a whole-child approach to teaching. By staying in the same classroom for a two-year period, children develop a stronger sense of community and stability. Likewise, teachers and students bond together, creating greater educational continuity and more efficient academic development. At Mooreland, students enjoy a safe, laughter-filled environment in which to grow. Check out Mrs. Meyer's K-3 Blog for more information on daily activities.

Grades 6-9

The disciplines of English, history, mathematics, science, and foreign language make up the core academic program. The course of study is enhanced by comprehensive offerings in art, music, theater,  and athletics. Students practice fundamental learning processes in an atmosphere that promotes the encouragement of active, independent learning while they become creative and critical thinkers. Teachers work closely with students in academics and athletics, and provide guidance for sound decision-making skills. The faculty encourages students to challenge themselves to go beyond their comfort level in a safe and supportive environment. Integral to this approach is a close partnership with the home fostered through timely communication.
