Modern Languages - French and Spanish
Mooreland Hill School offers French and Spanish Language Exploration beginning in Kindergarten. The objective is to give students a positive first exposure to foreign languages and cultures. Each language is taught during one half of the academic year until 7th grade when students specialize in either French or Spanish. The curriculum utilizes age-level activities ranging from crafts and songs to language exercises and cultural documentaries. Oral practice is emphasized throughout. Updated resources are alternately used from year one to the next in order to allow students to either review or learn the materials for the first time.
