High School Planning

Mooreland Hill School offers a comprehensive high school counseling program beginning in the springtime before eighth grade. Our Head of School holds an information session for students to launch the process and then schedules individual meetings with each family. The purpose of these meetings is to open the discussion, share interests and future goals, and prepare for the process ahead.

During the eighth and ninth grade, students attend one-on-one high school counseling classes to review the various steps involved in the application process, talk about visit expectations, and share experiences and reflections. Additionally, mock interviews are set up for students to practice their skills. The Head of School checks in often with students to provide updates and reminders, and encourages students and parents to check-in frequently.
