Athletics at Mooreland Hill
We believe that our athletics program is an integral part of the total educational experience. We have a dual sports program that includes a traditional physical education component for grades K-5, and a competitive interscholastic team sports component for grades 4-9. The MHS Athletic Program is consistent with the overall objective of the school with the commitment to developing sound minds, bodies, and attitudes. Competitive athletics provide an excellent classroom in which to teach young people a sense of pride, teamwork, sportsmanship, and an understanding of competition. We do offer non-competitive sports opportunities for those who are primarily interested in healthful outdoor activity without the stress of competition.
The athletic teams and non-competitive activities meet four times a week, Monday through Thursday. Students in grades 4-9 participate in each of the three seasons.
From year to year, athletic offerings include: tennis, field hockey, soccer, basketball, hiking, softball, baseball, and track and field.
